Follow-up Activity after Monthly Assembly
This year, students from Primary 1 to 6 participate in two structured follow-up activities alternatively after each monthly assembly: quote reading and poetry reading. These activities are designed to enhance students’ speaking skills, cultivate a love for literature, and reinforce the important values introduced during the assembly.
1. Quote Reading (P.1-3 and P.4-6)
For quote reading, a booklet with a list of famous quotes is developed (P.1-3) according to the theme of each monthly assembly. For P4-6 students, a booklet with Padlet QR codes is developed. Students search for quotes according to the theme of each monthly assembly and share them on Padlet. 1 C4 merit point is given to students if they can successfully complete each task.
2. Poetry Reading (P.1-6)
A curated list of poems has been selected according to the themes of the respective monthly assemblies. Students read poems aloud on TEAMS with the use of Speaker Progress. It on one hand fosters students’ appreciation for poetic expression and their speaking skills. Most importantly, it deepens students' understanding of the values introduced during the assemblies.
